The extensive landscaped grounds offer plenty of space to stretch your legs, with games and seating areas. Surrounded by fields with great views to the Sidlaw Hills, it makes the ideal spot to spend the day relaxing, a far cry from when this was all part of the berry picking industry for which Balirgowrie is famous. "Pondfads", as it is known locally, was then a berry pickers encampment. We have had many visitors who now live as far away as New Zealand who remember coming here from all over Scotland during the berry picking season with memories of camp fires, folk songs and lots of colourful characters.
